Fiorella Scatena
Fiorella Scatena, è una Make-up Artist, Campionessa Italiana e Mondiale di Body Painting. Nata a Pisa nel 1984, residente in Toscana ma conosciuta e richiesta in tutta Italia ed anche all’estero.
Attualmente impegnata come Docente presso l’Accademia Professionale di Trucco Artistico di Milano, collabora come truccatrice al servizio di numerosi fotografi e clienti privati, ed è ospite in qualità di Body Painter per prestigiosi locali, eventi di moda, show televisivi, fiere e spettacoli internazionali.
Affascinata dal connubio tra le sue più grandi passioni, la pittura ed il make-up, ha sperimentato per la prima volta il body painting nel 2006. Ha iniziato subito a prendere parte a vari concorsi, con 2 vittorie e 3 medaglie d’argento, qualificandosi finalista all’ Italian BodyPainting Festival per 3 anni consecutivi e vincendo il Premio del Pubblico al ‘BodyArt Contest Europeo‘ by Einat Dan.
Nel 2008, curiosa di confrontarsi con i migliori professionisti del settore, ha mostrato per la prima volta una sua creazione sul palcoscenico del concorso ‘World BodyPainting Festival’, in Austria. Ad appena 23 anni, Fiorella è riuscita a conquistare il titolo di World Champion nella categoria ‘Special Effects’. E’ stata la prima italiana ad avere l’onore di salire sul podio in 12 anni di edizioni, e ad oggi anche l’unica ad aver vinto l’oro mondiale nella categoria.
A distanza di pochi mesi, partecipando all’ Italian BodyPainting Festival, ha conquistato il titolo di Golden Painter diventando anche Campionessa Italiana del 2008.
Fiorella ha messo a disposizione la sua Arte per beneficenza, in iniziative di solidarietà quali la campagna animalista “Against fur!” dell’associazione P.e.T.A. Europe nel 2008, e lo spettacolo “Insieme per l’Abruzzo” a favore delle popolazioni terremotate nel 2009.
Affiancata dai colleghi Flavio Bosco ed Elena Tagliapietra, dal 2010 al 2015 le viene affidata la Direzione Artistica dell’Italian BodyPainting Festival, evento in cui ha preso parte anche in qualità di giurata del concorso.
Le principali testate giornalistiche, note riviste cartacee ed online, hanno pubblicato le sue opere menzionando i suoi successi con positive recensioni (Vogue, La Repubblica, ecc.) mentre alcune delle sue creazioni sono apparse in TV (Rai 2, Canale 5, Italia 1, La7, Fashion TV, ecc.), dove è stata giudicata e commentata anche dal critico d’arte Vittorio Sgarbi.
Nel 2011 Fiorella è tornata sul palco del World BodyPainting Festival, in gara con Elena Tagliapietra, aggiudicandosi il 3° posto nella categoria degli ‘Special Effects’, e riportando ancora una volta il tricolore italiano sul podio.
Successivamente, è stata selezionata da Alex Barendregt (organizzatore del World BodyPainting Festival) per il vernissage della boutique ‘Make up Forever’ a Parigi, come specialista degli Special Effect, assieme ai colleghi del team ColorSensation, Flavio ed Elena, rispettivamente addetti al body painting con aerografo e body painting fluo.
Nel 2012 è tornata in TV con il suo team, esibendosi per il famoso talent show di Canale 5 ‘Italia’s Got Talent‘ presentato da Belen Rodriguez e Simone Annicchiarico.
I ColorSensation hanno ottenuto 3 SI dai giudici Gerry Scotti, Maria De Filippi e Rudy Zerbi, che hanno così confermato la riuscita della performance del trio di campioni italiani della body art.
Al World BodyPainting Festival 2012 si è qualificata 2° nella preselezione della categoria Special Effects con il suo ‘ALIEN & H.R. GIGER tribute‘, aggiudicandosi un combattuto 4° posto alla finale, sfiorando il podio a solo 3 punti dal bronzo.
Il suo tributo ad Alien resta indubbiamente tra le sue opere più apprezzate, riscontrando una grandissima visibilità grazie anche ad importanti pubblicazioni che ne hanno permesso la diffusione online (dalle pagine Facebook ufficiali del ‘Giger Museum’, della ‘Stan Winston School’, e del film ‘Alien Covenant’, al sito della CNN nell’articolo dedicato al World BodyPainting Festival).
Fiorella è stata selezionata tra i 30 Artisti di fama mondiale presentati sul nuovo libro ‘Champion at Heart’ di Karala B, prodotto dalla World Body Painting Association.
Questo libro è un progetto di beneficenza i cui proventi andranno ad aiutare nella lotta contro il cancro al pancreas e la battaglia per la vita, del grande Campione e collega Brian David Wolfe.
Al World BodyPainting Festival 2013 ha vinto lo SHOW AWARD con la performance ‘Carnivora‘ per il tema ‘Planet Food’, 3° posto nella preselezione della categoria Special Effects.
Nel 2014, è stata selezionata tra gli iconici artisti di fama mondiale nel settore, per far parte della prestigiosa Giuria del World Body Painting Festival.

Fiorella Scatena is a Make-up Artist, Italian Champion and World Champion of bodypainting with special effects. Born in Pisa in 1984, she lives in Tuscany, but is known and requested in whole Italy and abroad. Painting and make-up have always been her strongest passions, since childhood, she shows an innate talent for everything related to Arts, in particular drawing and sculpture. During her studies at the art school she has the opportunity to observe the human body and its harmonies, focusing on the artistic nude and taking an interest in the physicality of the individual. Fascinated by the metamorphoses of make-up, especially with a passion for special effects, Fiorella approaches to this world refining her studies in Academy of Aesthetic.
She made her first bodypainting in 2006 and she immediately began to take part to various contests, obtaining two victories and three silver medals, qualifying as finalist at ‘Italian Bodypainting Festival’ for three consecutive years, winning the Audience Award at the ‘European Bodyart Contest’ in 2007.
Her biggest challenge was in 2008, the ‘World Bodypainting Festival’, the most important event, where she won against the greatest artists of the world. Just 23 years old, Fiorella has became a World Champion, bringing for the first time the italian flag to the highest level in special effects category.
During the same year, she’s become Italian Champion winning the title of Golden Painter at Italian Bodypainting Festival.
Since 2009, Fiorella is called to be in the jury of the Italian Festival, and she has also became Artistic Director of the event with other two artist of her ‘ColorSensation Team’: Flavio Bosco and Elena Tagliapietra.
In 2011, Fiorella takes part again in the ‘World Bodypainting Festival’, in the special effects category, obtaining the 3rd place, bringing once again the italian flag on the podium.
In the World Bodypainting Festival 2012, she qualifies at 2nd place in the preliminaries of the special effects category with her ‘Alien & HR Giger Tribute’, and during the final she got a hard-fought 4th place, with a score only three points lesser than the 3rd qualified.
In 2013, competing again in category special effects, she won the ‘Show Award’ of World BodyPainting Festival with her performance entitled ‘Carnivora’, getting a 3rd place in the pre-selection of the theme ‘Planet Food’.
Her style is a fusion of different painting techniques and the creation of visually striking special effects. It’s characterized by unmistakable dark and mysterious atmospheres, between surrealism and erotism, where her creatures appear enchanting and grotesque, constantly torn between sensuality and horror. Her creations are contaminated by a love for the macabre, and surrealist art, inspired by the dreamlike visions of Hans Ruedi Giger and provocative figures of Michael Hussar, artists who she has done hommage with her works.
She also offered her art for charity and social purposes, such as the animal rights campaign “Against fur!” for PeTA Europe Association, and the show in Abruzzo that has helped earthquake victims.
Fiorella has been selected among the 30 artists featured on the new World Champions book ‘Champion at Heart’ by Karala B Wallace, a charity project that has helped the fight for life of the World Champion artist Brian Wolfe, the book was produced by the World Body Painting Association.
In 2014, Fiorella was selected as one of iconic artists, for the prestigious Jury of the most important contest, the World Body Painting Festival.
